Sunday November 14th, 1400 NZT

At today's presentation of the annual Canterbury Ice Hockey Association awards, Rats goal-tender Lee Manning cleaned up, scooping both the Senior and Junior division 'Top Goaltender' awards.

He capped off a great weekend when he was also later named to the New Zealand Ice Hockey Federation Junior team to complete in the IIHF Under 19 Oceania Championships to be held in Auckland, New Zealand in mid-March 2002.

Also in the mix, Adam Wheatley took the Senior top forward award, Dave Whitson took the Non-Contact top goaltender, and defenseman Ernie Hayes was voted the 'Player's Player' by his peers.
